AIB-UKI/IAM Collaborative ‘Meet the Editors’ Session

Virtual Workshop (90 Minutes)

10am – 11:30am

24th February 2023

The contribution of Irish scholars, and those based in Ireland, to International Business (IB) research and practice has been significant, with world renowned, highly cited work in the area of globalization, MNE subsidiary strategy, internationalization, corporate governance, finance and international human resource management. As a result, there has been a growing representation of Irish-based academics on the editorial boards of ranked international journals.

In this workshop, we wish to facilitate an open forum for students, faculty, and practitioners to meet with Irish-based editors of leading international journals. The aim of the workshop is for the IB journal editors to share their experience of the publication process, to highlight the top three aspects of a successful publication, and to discuss some of the ‘red flags’ they identify. Furthermore, the workshop offers an opportunity for students, faculty and practitioners to meet editors based in local Irish universities, to pose questions related to their work, and become more familiar with the publication
process.

The workshop will be hosted online on the morning of February 24th, 2023. The workshop will be structured, with a short presentation from all 4 journal editors, followed by an open Q&A session and an opportunity for networking through breakout rooms.
