In the aftermath of the global financial crisis, and the looming environmental crisis, management researchers have increasingly addressed the fundamental cultural, economic and organizational challenges that societies across the world are facing. The unifying theme of the 2012 conference is that of 'transformation': what new methodologies, theory-building approaches and areas of investigation does the management academy need to create value for our stakeholders.
The IAM invites submission of abstracts/papers in a broad range of areas, including, inter alia,
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Strategic Management
- Organisational Behaviour
- Human Resources Management
- Industrial Relations
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Management Information Systems
- Public Sector and Healthcare Management
- Accounting, Finance, and Corporate Governance
- Technology and Management
- Teaching and Learning
- Retailing and distribution
- Research Design and Methodology
- Busines, ethics and sustainability
Contributions are welcome from both academics and practitioners on research that is designed to test, extend or develop management theory while making a clear contribution to management practice.
All abstracts will be subjected to peer review. All conference papers will be published in the conference proceedings. There will be a special issue of the Irish Journal of Management based on the best papers presented at the conference. There are also a number of prizes for papers, including: best overall paper, best postgraduate paper and best paper presented at the doctoral colloquium.
The paper submission system will be open soon and the closing date for receipt of Abstracts will be Monday 26th March 2012
