Anne-Wil is Professor of International Management at Middlesex University

Anne-Wil is Professor of International Management at Middlesex University, London and visiting Professor of International Management at Tilburg University. She is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business, a select group of distinguished AIB members who are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the scholarly development of the field of international business or have made significant contributions to the AIB. Before joining Middlesex, she was Professor in International Management and a former Associate Dean Research at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Anne-Wil’s research interests include international HRM, expatriate management, HQ-subsidiary relationships, cross-cultural management, transfer of HRM practices, the role of language in international business, the international research process, and the quality and impact of academic research.

In addition to her substantive research areas, Anne-Wil also has a keen interest and substantial impact in respect to journal quality and research performance metrics, as well as diversity & inclusion in academia. In this context she is the editor of the Journal Quality List, the provider of Publish or Perish, a software program that retrieves and analyses academic citations, the founder of CYGNA, a network for female academics, and the author of more than 350 blogposts on all things academia. She also maintains a YouTube channel with academic resources.
